I hope you’ve all had a fabulous Christmas! Well I didn’t think I’d get time this month to have a bash at the challenge for Papertrey Ink’s blog hop, but I managed to squeeze a quick CAS card in. The challenge for this month was:
Holiday Leftovers
It’s that time again for our annual holiday leftovers challenge! Use scraps of wrapping paper, parts of holiday cards, recycle gift tags or bits of ribbon on a paper crafting project. We all have plenty of it playing around after all the holiday excitement and this is your chance to incorporate some of those pretty little things into an amazing piece of art!
I looked at the pile of wrapping papers left over from yesterday and pulled out a length of bakers twine which I’d used to wrap one of our presents. I’ve always loved an aqua and red colour scheme so used the twine in combination with some aqua mist and pure poppy card to make this quick and simple birthday card for a friend’s son. The little boat is from Tiny Treats Valentine and the sentiment from Birthday Basics.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your holidays.
