CLASSIC SNOWFLAKES

OK back to the snowflakes! I started by stamping a number of the snowflakes from the Frozen Fractals set on a piece of Arches cold pressed watercolor card. I used the cube of Tsukineko Delicata white shimmer ink included in the kit and then clear heat embossed. You can’t really see the shimmer of the ink once I’d embossed but seeing as you can use any pigment ink to emboss and I had the ink to hand and it worked perfectly :D The heat embossing resists the Gansai Tambi paints I used to watercolor in lots of light layers to slowly build up the intensity of color. When dry I cut the watercolored piece with a Stitched Rectangle and put to one side while I worked on the sentiment.

What a fabulous sentiment it is too! I used the Tsukineko Delicata white shimmer ink again to stamp the sentiment on vellum and then this time I white heat embossed before cutting out with a Stitched Circle. I adhered the circle to the watercolor panel with clear foam adhesive and then added a few of the clear sequins included in the custom mix sequin pack. Finally I foam mounted the finished panel to an Ivory card base.
