Boo! Today I’ve got a card using the popular Ghostly Greetings set which was originally part of the Limited Edition Halloween card kit which sold out in record time and then the set was released separately and that sold out too! Well I’m delighted that Ghostly Greetings is now back in stock if you missed out before :D I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I started this card by stamping the ghost on Arches cold pressed watercolor card with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I also stamped on masking paper, trimmed out and adhered over the image so that I could stamp the fairy and Frankenstein to look as if they were slightly set back behind the ghost.
I pulled out my watercolors and spend a delightful few minutes coloring these sweet guys with lots of light layers of watercolor. Here’s an extreme close up so you can see better and this also highlights the silver paint splatter I like to add as a finishing touch to many of my watercolors – so sparkly in real life.
I cut the finished watercolor with a Stitched Rectangle and then mounted it on a card base I’d folded from my old 12×12 Bazzill stash. It makes a change for me to be using a different colored card base other than my usual white or Fog!
A final touch was to add some stripes to the treat bag with a black marker and then a few sequins for some sparkle :D
