Beautiful florals are on the agenda today with the Layered Chrysanthemums exclusive STAMPtember set from Clearly Besotted for Simon Says Stamp. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
Each of the images comes with a solid, detail and fine detail stamp along with lovely sentiments in a combination of fonts.
I stamped three chrysanthemums using Altenew’s Red Cosmos ink collection and then paired the flowers with cool grey leaves using Fog, Versafine Smokey Gray and Versafine Onyx Black inks. I trimmed them out and foam mounted them on a Stitched Rectangle of white card on which I’d stamped 18th from the Big Numbers set above one of the Layered Chrysanthemums sentiments. I finished off with some glittery Nuvo Crystal dots.
I gave this card to a family friend who wore the most amazing deep red dress for prom and looked so grown up and stunningly beautiful. Now she’s now gone off to the same University course as my son. In a blink of an eye they are all grown up and flown the nest!

Its Awesome !!
This card is incredible! I’m impressed by the colors you used for these florals. So gorgeous!!!
Amazing stamp set! Thank you for inspiration!
Such a pretty card, Debby! I really like the non-traditional gray leaves that make the card very fresh and modern, perfect for a teen.
And as a mom whose only child is frequently out of the country, I know how hard it is to give that final big hug before they set out on their own, whether to university or elsewhere. Sending big hugs. :-)
Thanks Dori, out of the country must be worse :( I do struggle but am trying to be the cool Mum who doesn’t hassle for contact too much LOL.
Beautiful florals, Debby! Great card!
This is a stunningly beautiful card Debby.
Yes they grow up and fly the nest far too quickly! Of course I only had 2 children so it doesn’t take long for that to happen. My mother on the other hand had 8 and even she said it went too fast…
Wow, 8! Now they would last a little while longer LOL.
Gorgeous card. Great stamp set.
NIce post, I love it. Thanks for sharing.
