Sometimes I forget how much I love clean and simple design and then a set such as this new Layered Wreath from Clearly Besotted comes along. Perfect in its spot on simplicity with that stunning sentiment I felt the set only needed a minimal setting to shine. This set will be released on 05 September at both Clearly Besotted and Simon Says Stamp. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.

I stamped this Christmas wreath with two color schemes, the traditional rich reds and greens you see here and then further down this post you can see the more modern take on the colors with a light grey-green and orange-red color way. Which do you prefer?

I stamped the leaves in Bundled Sage and the Berries in Festive Berries (of course LOL) on Arches watercolor card and then used my watercolors to add detail. When dry I stamped that gorgeous sentiment in Onyx Black and then trimmed the panel with a Stitched Rectangle. I rubbed Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy around the edges and then mounted on a card base cut from my Bazzill 12 x 12 stash. Simple, to the point and no embellishment needed :D

Here’s the muted modern color scheme stamped lightly in Iced Spruce and Festive Berries and again I used my watercolors to add detail.

This time the sentiment is stamped in Smokey Gray and the panel mounted on Desert Storm to go along with the lighter colors.
