I’m not sure what it is about a feather, but to me they symbolise hope and strength. Needless to say they make a great image for a clean and simple guy card and the new Tickle My Fancy set from Clearly Besotted is filled with wonderful solid and line images. All supplies are linked at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
We are deep in to the start of our school summer break and I’m not sure about you, but this means for me much less time at my craft table. When this happens my love of true Clean and Simple design comes in to play for quick cards. I also think that guys in particular like a CAS card – gets the message across without any fuss LOL!
I chose Lakes Shores, Sparrow and Melon as my color combination for this card and took inspiration from the layout of the Tickle My Fancy stamps in their packaging. I also used the Sparrow ink again for the sentiment, stamping it so that it overlapped the Melon feather. The white panel is cut with a Basic Rectangle and then mounted on a Fog card base with a few sequins as the final touch. Perhaps I should have used enamel dots for a guy card but I love my sequins so!
You will be able to check out all the new sets tomorrow at Clearly Besotted and Simon Says Stamp; 10pm UK time, 5pm EST on 5th June. In the meantime please call by and see Stephanie for more inspiration and links to the team.
