It’s probably no surprise to you that I love soft, muted tones and when you add in lots of texture too then I’m a happy crafter! Well I was certainly smiling away to myself stitching up this Ice Cream Cone – the latest from the Simon Says Stamp plush range. All supplies are linked at the end of this post. From felt I cut the cone from a pale yellow, the ice cream from a mellow peach and a rich chocolate and then topped them with a beautiful cherry. I chose toning thread for the stitching and incorporated a loop of velvet peach ribbon from the top as I sewed.

For some sprinkles I sewed on a few seed beads and sequins and then used the finished cone to embellish a hessian pouch. Oh yes, I was a happy crafter with all the texture and muted colors going on :D

I used felt and embroidery floss from my stash but you can find a comprehensive range at Simon Says Stamp :D
