The May Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp has just gone live and I must say this kit just simply makes me happy and smiling from ear to ear! The stamp set is one of the most adorable I’ve seen and is perfect for a spot of coloring ;) This card uses just the kit stamp set, Happy Day, and sequins from the kit but packed in that box of goodness is the paper hit of CHA – the Perfectly Plaid patterned papers from Lawn Fawn along with watercolored stickers from PinkFresh Studios, a glue pen and of course a bunch of matching card stock. The watercolored stickers were another find I spotted at CHA. I really like that they are printed on cotton paper and have a lovely quality feel; matte rather than shiny which is my personal preference. All supplies are linked at the end of this post. This card is a simple one to put together; I stamped the sun, flower and speech bubble in Versafine Onyx Black on Arches cold-pressed watercolor card and then watercolored around! Oh with a bit of splattering of course – spare paint and Perfect Pearls solution. When dry I cut the panel with a Stitched Rectangle, scored and folded some of the white card from the kit for the card base and then added the panel with foam adhesive.
The final touch was to add a sprinkling of sequins from the kit; a delicious selection of translucent colors and sizes :D
