Avery Elle have a new release out and there is so much to love! I fell for this cute Woodland Wonders set big time when I saw it at CHA and couldn’t resist a cute little woodland scene with these critters :D When I first get a new set I stamp the key images out on a piece of Neenah Solar White with Intense Black ink and die cut them with their matching dies. I can then start moving them around and planning out who is going where.

For this Woodland Wonders set I really wanted to make use of the birch tree trunks, after that it was natural to pop the little owl on that outstretched branch. I also placed the sentiment there too as if the banner was wrapped around the trees and then finally a couple of cute friends to join in and see what is going on LOL. All the images are coloured with Copics and then foam mounted on a panel of watercolored card blended with Cotton Candy, Sea Glass and Melon inks and splattered with Perfect Pearls solution. I also cut a Stitched Hill inked with Green Leaf and Olive to ground the scene.

These background panel pieces are cut with a Pieced Banner Layered die to give a nice finished edge detail and then foam mounted on a Fog card base. Finally I couldn’t resist a few of my favorite sequins.

Check out the new Avery Elle release – lots to look at as they have 14 new stamp sets and 16 new die sets! I’ve got a few more cards with the new release coming soon :D
