I hope you’ve had a wonderful Christmas and looking forward to the New Year! I love creating Christmas projects but once all the cards are posted, presents wrapped and tags attached it is equally fun to let loose all the colours again LOL. This bright and happy watercolored background birthday card is part of a hop to celebrate the recent You Have My Heart release from Simon Says Stamp. More on the hop below but in case you missed the new release with all the holiday craziness here’s a little look:

I thought the Stepping Stones cling stamp would make a fun watercolored background and so stamped it in Versamark on Arches watercolor card and white heat embossed before loosely watercoloring with Winsor & Newton paints.

The Stepping Stones could be birthday balloons or bubbles on this card and create a colorful backdrop to the Happy Birthday die I cut from glitter card. I mounted the panel on a card base made from Ivory card and added a sprinkling of sequins.

Oh I do love a good blog hop; such a lot of fun and filled with inspiration! Hopefully you arrived here from the wonderful, kind and oh so talented Jennifer McGuire. However, if not and you want to start from the beginning of the hop, or equally if you get lost along the way, then start at the Simon Says Stamp blog.

Of course all good hops have prizes! Leave a comment here and on each stop on the hop by Monday 04 January to be eligible for prizes packages valued at $50 :D

Now it’s time to hop on over to the delightful and always has me in stitches of laughter,

Laura Bassen!
