Hello fabulous feathers! I took the opportunity to pull out my Birds of a Feather set by Kelly Purkey. I wanted to get the feeling of all that opulent gold and rich colours so I gold heat embossed a feather on to Simon Says Stamp water-colour paper, masked and repeated until I had a fan of feathers. Then I set to with Inktense pencils to try to capture even a tenth of the iridescent colours. To give that extra pop, I dotted glossy accents over the top to catch the light. I sprinkled black sequins from Kelly Purkey (these really have that iridescent green-blue hints), jewels and some platinum stickles. Finally a swirl of fine silver thread grounded a glitter and sentiment strip. The water-colour panel was then mounted on a rich deep blue card base.

Please pop by the CASE Study blog to see how the rest of the team were inspired :) Finally, if you haven’t already there’s still time to enter my giveaway to win some Kelly Purkey washi tape; visit this post and leave a comment by Friday 06 December 11.59pm EST :)
